Equine Therapy: At Shepherd Farms, we live to serve the selfless. As a veteran myself my family and I understand the difficulty of reentry into “normal” life with family and friends. Truth is that life just no longer feels the same way we left it.  Our heart breaks over the pain that each serviceman and servicewoman who may have physically survived the horrors of war but faced to confront the realities of what is called normalcy.  Our families now also experiencing the residual effects of coping with the invisible scars of their love one’s mind.  We here at Shepherd Farms provide animal therapy, safety and sanctuary as the servicemember heals and recover from the wounds of the battlefield, in hopes of establishing a better relationship with their spouse, family and the rest of the world.
